About the trade mission

Invest Northern Ireland is proposing to take a delegation of companies to Mexico in November 2024 to explore the vast opportunities the country has to offer Northern Ireland businesses.  
 
The mission will be tailored specifically to the needs of the businesses attending but will likely include pre-arranged buyer meetings, visits, and networking events. 

Mexico is a dynamic market which offers unique business and commercial opportunities for companies that are willing to explore and widen their business perspective. 

Why Mexico? 

  • The country is experiencing a period of sustained economic growth and is projected to be the 7th largest world economy by 2050 
  • Mexico is a strategic geographical location acting as a gateway to Central America, the Caribbean and South America  
  • it has access to over 13 Free Trade Agreements with 50 countries presenting significant market opportunities  
  • Mexico regularly tops rankings for “Ease of Doing Business” in Latin America. 

Who should consider participating in the trade mission?

The trade mission is suitable for: 

  • New to market or established exporters with an interest in selling into Mexico and Latin America
  • Businesses operating in the following sectors:
    • Materials handling including waste and recycling.
    • Agri-tech and agri-equipment
    • Aerospace
    • Food and drink
    • Health and life sciences (particularly, pharmacy suppliers, in vitro diagnostics, and other medical devices) 
    • Fintech, Regtech and analytics
