About the Graduate to Export programme

Are you interested in undertaking a fully funded postgraduate diploma while working for a Northern Ireland company and getting paid?

Our Graduate to Export programme might be what you are looking for.

For the first six months of this 18-month programme, you will work with your company in Northern Ireland. This will let you get to know their business and understand their products and services firsthand. During this time, you will learn about the business’ strategy and direction.

You will then spend up to 12 months in an export market identifying market opportunities and carrying out market research to assist with your company’s export development plan.

The next application call for Graduate to Export is expected to open in early 2027.

How can my business benefit from the Graduate to Export programme?

By the end of the 18-month program, companies will gain:

  • A better understanding of their target export market
  • A thorough market research report or entry plan
  • The option to hire the graduate permanently

Being on the programme and working with Deli Lites has provided me with a strong foundation to start the rest of my career. I would highly recommend the Graduate to Export programme as it is great for anyone wanting to start a career in sales or marketing.

Darelle McNicholl, Deli Lites

The Graduate to Export programme gave me the opportunity to travel across the USA and gain first-hand insight into international business, while continuing my academic development and growing a strong network both inside and outside the programme. This experience has directly supported my career in international markets
