Jeremy Fitch Managing Director Clients Group and Business International

Jeremy Fitch holds the position of Managing Director, Business International and Clients’ Group with responsibility for inward investment and growth of existing clients in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Electronics, Tradeable Services, Engineering, Transport, Construction and Tourism sectors. The Group has an annual programme budget of £60m and staff of over 100.
A first class honours and International MBA graduate from the University of Ulster, Jeremy worked for Marks and Spencer plc and KPMG Chartered Accountants before joining the Industrial Development Board (IDB) for Northern Ireland in 1992. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Initially Jeremy worked in International Marketing and Promotion supporting IDB’s inward investment efforts. During this time he spent a short period based at IDB’s office in Los Angeles researching the US software market. In 1997 he transferred to IDB’s ICT Division where he managed a portfolio of major existing investors. In 1999/2000 Jeremy was seconded to the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment as Head of the Information Age Unit and charged with responsibility to deliver a strategy and action plan to address information age issues. This was launched by then Secretary of State, Peter Mandelson in April 2000.
On the formation of Invest Northern Ireland in April 2002 Jeremy secured promotion to Director of International ICT Division. Responsibilities included attracting new Foreign Direct Invest (FDI) from ICT sectors into Northern Ireland and encouraging the growth of the existing international ICT base. In June 2005 he was promoted Managing Director Business International and Client’s Group.
Jeremy is married and has two daughters and one son.
