A series of lunchtime lectures will take place in the Linenhall Library, Belfast from Mon 12 – Fri 16 November aimed at tackling key business issues. The events will include refreshments and will run from 12.45 – 13.45.

Reducing your organisations carbon footprint

Date: Monday 12th November
Speaker: Bill Beers
In this very topical lecture Bill will show short interactive presentations on case studies that demonstrate practical ways your organisation can save operating costs and also improve its corporate responsibility by reducing its carbon footprint. He will highlight issues such as office lighting, hot water systems, IT equipment, electronic document storage systems, the paperless office, off site storage, electronic archive and home working.

An overview of the essential concepts and technologies required for selling online. Everything you need to know to get it right first time.

Developing the Brand

Date: Wednesday 14th November
Speaker: Gillian Colhoun
An effective brand strategy will create a unique identity that will differentiate you from the competition. Gillian will outline the importance of design to business success and the range of design options available to your business. She will focus on real live examples of brand awareness and development.

Creating the right impression with the client

Date: Thursday 15th November
Speaker: Billy Dixon
Professional image is vital in business. A positive professional image says credibility and confidence which in turn helps to build trust in your client relationships. Billy will show you how to Walk and Talk, project power and authority, how to connect quickly, how to make an impact in a meeting and how to dress to impress.

Closing the Deal

Date: Friday 16th November
Speaker: Mary Keightley
Arguably the key sales technique in your arsenal is closing the deal. Mary will cover the final stage in the sales process and will give you key tips on how to close the deal and also pointers on what not to do.
