What they are about
Invest NI is running 3 Regional Networking events aimed at encouraging ‘Export led Business Growth’ within the regions. The events are aimed at export focussed businesses and key local stakeholders. They will feature two keynote speakers, Colin Jackson, the former world champion hurdler (Inspirational/Motivational story) and a member of the Invest NI Hall of Fame (local inspirational role model).
Invest NI representatives will be in attendance to answer any questions on the services provided by Invest NI designed to support businesses to grow through export sales.
The events are being run in conjunction with the Bank of Ireland.
Speaker Profile - Colin Jackson CBE

Former World, European and Commonwealth 110m hurdles champion Colin Jackson is one of the most successful British athletes of all time. He was ranked amongst the
top ten hurdlers for sixteen years and still holds two world records.
Colin talks about how he turned bitter defeat into positive drive, and the unwavering motivation needed to stay at the top. He illustrates the factors necessary to develop a winning formula and offers a behind the scenes peek into the life of a world class athlete.
He took bronze at the Rome World Championships, the following year claiming the silver medal at the Seoul Olympics. On his retirement he enjoyed a top three ranking in the world.
Since hanging up his spikes, Colin has become a confident broadcaster. He was involved in Sport Relief and glided his way to the final of Strictly Come Dancing. He also co-hosted the BBC reality project Born to Win, leading the nation's largest search for Britain's new sporting talent.
Colin took part in the acclaimed BBC series, Who Do You Think You Are? and presents Holiday whilst also acting as a full time coach to welsh athletics stars.
As an integral part of the line-up covering the Olympics and Paralympics in Athens, Colin continues to commentate for BBC Sport, including coverage of indoor and outdoor international athletics.
He was voted Athlete of the Year by the International Athletic Federation and received an award for outstanding performance from the British Athletic Writers’ Association.
