17 companies from Northern Ireland exhibited at the Farnborough International Air Show, the world's biggest and most diverse airshow with 1,500 exhibitors from a range of core aerospace sectors.

Northern Ireland Aerospace is a $1.6bn aerospace industry and Europe’s eighth largest aerospace region in revenue terms, with over 60 companies engaged at the leading edge of advanced aerospace design and manufacturing.

Every major commercial aircraft programme depends on structures, components and expert services from Northern Ireland. Who exhibited


Bombardier Belfast is one of the largest aerospace companies in the UK. It is a centre of excellence for the design, manufacture and aftermarket support of large aircraft structures, including fuselages, wings and engine nacelles in metal and advanced composites.




Bradfor is a seat cover manufacturer based in Northern Ireland. Dedicated to excellent quality manufacturing, on time orders and the finest customer care.

Cunningham specialise in the design, specification and manufacture of clever protective covers for the protection of high value assets. Made to any shape/size in a range of industrial textiles their protective covers are made to withstand the world's toughest environments.

Denroy Plastics Ltd is a supplier of injection-moulded components and associated assemblies to the aerospace industry with a customer base that includes BAE Systems, Airbus, and Bombardier. Denroy offers a complete solution from design through to manufacture. The company holds accreditation to ISO9001: 2000 and AS9100 from BSI (Cert No FM14106).

Hutchinson AeroTech specialises in manufacturing components and assemblies from non ferrous materials including Titanium, Inconel, Stainless and Aluminium. Processes include: Laser/Punch, Forming, Deburr, Assembly, Welding, Part Marking (Dot Peen & Electro-Chemical Etch) and Climate Controlled Inspection.

IPC Mouldings is an SC21 supply chain excellence partner offering plastic injection moulding, design and tooling from concept to completion. Experts in the use of engineering grade polymers and processing techniques, IPC value added services include CNC machining, CNC routing and sub-assemblies. IPC Mouldings hold AS9100 accreditation.

J.W.Kane Precision Engineering are a CNC machining subcontractor based in Northern Ireland with expertise in the machining of aerostructures. They fully manage the supply chain from quote, engineering, metal supply, machining, treatments, assembly, submission of first articles on a build to print basis.

Marlborough Engineering are an Aerospace Engineering Company, spread over two facilities in Belfast. Their HQ is a machining shop with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC capabilities. Their second site is 40,000 sqft and contains our fabrication shop, and assembly shop. They have CMM, laser tracking and GDNT capabilities for Inspection.

McAuley Engineering was founded in 1997 by the current MD Jonathan McAuley. Capability includes programming, engineering, CNC machining and assembly of aerospace components. Our equipment provides 3-5 axis milling up to a 1200mm envelope, Turn/ Mill up to 3m long and Turn/ Mill multitask with up to 9 axis functionality. We also offer tube manipulation, laser cutting, folding and TIG welding.

McGreevy Engineering machines components using CNC machines to customers’ specifications. Using the latest CNC lathes and milling machines, components are machined from one-offs to production runs. It operates stocking systems for Kanban and JIT to customer requirements.

Moyola is a specialist provider of complex 5 axis components, kits and sub-assemblies to the civil and defence aerospace industry, producing parts as large as 4 metres across multiple customer platforms. It carries approvals from the major primes such as Airbus, Bombardier, GE, Thales, BAE, Saab, Spirit, GKN and Boeing.

The Northern Ireland Technology Centre (NITC) at Queens University Belfast is an industry facing research and technology unit aligned to the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. NITC plays a key role in supporting NI’s aerospace supply chain with industrial collaborative R&D and knowledge transfer activities in advanced manufacturing technologies.

RTA was the first company in Northern Ireland to achieve an SC21 award as a self-starter. Customer focused services provide scalable sourcing, stocking, kitting and delivery solutions of components and hardware for lean operations integration (Kanban, DLF, JIT, Quick Reaction Sub-contracted Manufacture, etc.) and Supplier Managed Inventory. Certified to AS9100 and AS9120.


Schivo Group is a sub-contract manufacturing company based in Ireland and UK specialising in precision machining, full product sub-contract assembly and 3D printing. Schivo Group service the Aerospace Sector supplying machined details and assemblies utilising advanced manufacturing technology and incorporating alloys, steel, stainless steel, titanium, inconel and polymers.

The Nacelle Group has a background in Propulsion System Integration Engineering, covering design, analysis and certification of nacelle related systems via its consultancy, NSC. Current expansion has seen the launch of a dedicated commercial Test centre – Resonate Testing Limited - focused initially on Vibration and FAA standard Fire Testing, and with a growing capability for wider environmental and combined testing, covering aerospace but also new areas such as Space, Energy & Transport sectors.


Technical Metals Group comprises Technical Metals Ltd & Springco (NI) Ltd. We offer customers a wide range of Anodising and Surface preparation processes, which include Clear, Black, Bright and Half Bright Anodising, Beadblasting, Buffing, Linishing, Clear Chem treatment and Aluprinting. Springco are a reputable supplier of specialist springs manufactured from exotic materials to include Nickel and Cobalt Alloys.

United Performance Metals stocks titanium, stainless steel, nickel, cobalt and cobalt chrome moly in sheet, coil, plate, bar and forged block in aero grades for customers worldwide. FirstCut+® prefabrication services include laser and water jet cutting, sawing, shearing, chamfering and facing, deburring. UPM offers comprehensive supply chain management.
