Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council is Northern Ireland's second largest council area with a population of over 200,000 and over 7,700 registered businesses. The borough has particular strength in health and life sciences and has many strong local businesses with a track record of innovation. The local council has set "growing their economy" at the top of their agenda and is committed to developing strong economic links to North America.

Armstrong Medical is located in Coleraine, Northern Ireland and manufacture consumables for anaesthesia, respiratory and neonatal care. Their unique service provides bespoke breathing systems customised in line with local practice for reduced waste, efficient procurement, convenience to care givers and safety for patients.

CIGA Healthcare is a young dynamic company that specialises in the Rapid Self Test Health Diagnostics sector and is leading developments in this rapidly emerging new OTC market. Since it was established in 2005, the company has grown rapidly and now supplies tests to retailers in the UK, the United States and to 60 countries across the world.

The Go Walk Talk Alert system is an innovative solution to support the needs of a person with dementia or alzheimer's. It provides an unprecedented level of reassurance to the use and the family, whilst maintaining independence for the user. Using proximity devices, Wi-Fi and cameras, it integrates seamlessly into a home to manage patients and let the elderly maintain their independence longer. It is also a safety alert tool to summon assistance if required.

 

Intelesens began operations in 2001 as a spinout from the University of Ulster, having specific expertise in the application of sensor technologies to many aspects of physiological measurement. The Company established a recognised leadership position within the medical sensor industry based on its physiological sensor design and development capabilities and unique manufacturing processes. Since 2006 the Company has focused on the design and development of wireless vital sensors and devices.

Kainos Evolve provides 2 main software platforms - Evolve Electronic Medical Record, and Evolve Integrated Care Platform. The Evolve Electronic Medical Record (EMR) automates the creation, capture and handling of medical case notes, operations documents and records. The Evolve Integrated Care Platform is a new cloud hosted platform, targeting the global healthcare market.
