Our activities have made a direct contribution to growing the economy of Northern Ireland. Here are some highlights of our performance from 2002 to 2008.

- Fifty-three per cent of our assistance has gone to locally-owned clients.
- Over half of all assistance offered, and 71 per cent of first time inward investment, related to projects planning to locate in disadvantaged areas.
- £1.3 billion of inward investment by our clients is expected to create over £440 million a year in wages and salaries.
- £873 million of investment commitments have been in the growing financial, software and computer services sectors, creating an increasing number of higher-quality jobs.
- There has been a 25 per cent increase in service sector jobs, which contributed to growing client employment.
- Since 2002, the rate of early-stage entrepreneurship in Northern Ireland is up from 3.3 per cent to 4.9 per cent.
