Creative industries

This embryonic industry has the potential to develop on a global scale. A sector development strategy is due to be completed in March 2007.

We aim to enhance the international competitiveness of our clients in the construction sector by encouraging export, innovation, professional management techniques and process improvements.

Electronics

Through the Northern Ireland Electronics Forum, we work with local companies to raise their awareness of new product and market opportunities and help them grow their export base.

Our strategy concentrates on strengthening companies by helping them reduce costs, increase value-added products and maximise new market opportunities.

We work in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop Northern Ireland’s agri-food industry as set out in the Fit for Market strategy.

We work closely with Momentum – the Northern Ireland ICT Federation – on issues facing the software sector, which has grown rapidly over recent years.

This sector has enjoyed phenomenal growth since 1994. We support business development aspects of tourism within the context of Northern Ireland Tourist Board policy.
