To position your business for growth and strengthen its ability to sell outside Northern Ireland you need to have a sound business and marketing strategy. Invest NI will help you develop this. Our support in this area is both advisory and financial.

What areas can we advise on?  

We offer general advice on strategy development and implementation, market research and can give you access to extensive business information. We’ll help you do a SWOT analysis, explore funding options and support you to develop and implement strategic plans. You can also get help to benchmark your business against similar businesses in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe and beyond.

What financial support do we offer?

If your business can show that it intends to sell outside Northern Ireland, is actively pursuing growth plans and will contribute to increasing productivity and innovation in Northern Ireland, you can apply for the following financial assistance. Find out more about qualifying for this support.

We may be able to offer you funding for:

• a preliminary scoping exercise to determine the nature and extent of the strategic business help you require
• drafting a business development plan
• employing a non-executive director to assist with the direction and management of your business.

We assess applications for financial support on a case by case basis and businesses will be expected to pay a proportion of the cost of the assistance.
