Do you have difficulty getting good people to work for your organisation?  Do you find that you have fewer people to choose from and end up employing people who do not fully meet your needs? Attracting new employees in a tight labour market is challenging but we all know that having the right people working in your business is critical to its success. This workshop will help you to challenge your beliefs about how and where to source new employees. You will learn from other organisations and successful local businesses, and take away contacts and points of reference to assist with increasing your applicant pool.  A separate workshop, Selecting the Right People, will help you to make effective selection decisions.

Selecting the right people

Do you dread carrying out interviews? Does the whole selection process seem to depend largely on luck?  Have you made costly recruitment mistakes in the past?  Getting the right person for the job is essential if your organisation is to be successful. The right people don’t need to be tightly managed or controlled.  They will not cost the company in terms of money, disruption and management time. * It is advisable to attend both parts of all two day courses.

It is recommended that participants attending the workshop on Attracting the Right People also attend Selecting the Right People and vice versa and that participants attending Getting the Best from your People also attend Developing your People to Perform and vice versa.

Conditions of booking

Cost

  • £50 + VAT per day per person
  • £75 + VAT per 1.5 days per person
  • £75 + VAT per 2 days per person

All workshops begin at 9.30am and end at 5.00pm. Half day workshops, where indicated, begin at 9:30am and end at 12:30pm. Lunch will be provided.

Participant numbers are limited (typically 12 per workshop) and places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Maximum of three persons from one organisation per workshop.

We will endeavour to meet over subscription by organising extra workshops.

If there is insufficient demand for workshops we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel.

The booking fee is refundable if more than 10 working days notice of cancellation is given. A substitute delegate can be named at any time. Booking fee is not refundable if less than 10 days notice of cancellation is given or in the event of non-attendance at a workshop.
