Our technology and development centres provide a business incubation service which offers transitional locations for doing business in new markets.

Invest NI has three technology and development centres. Two are in the United States (US) (Boston and Denver) and one the Middle East (Dubai). The centres provide a supportive environment, offering cost-effective, fully equipped offices combined with administrative support.

Innovative clients

The service is targeted towards innovative businesses positioned to expand their market presence in the US or Middle East.

Businesses that use our facilities substantially reduce the risks involved in establishing a presence in overseas markets.

Managed by professional business advisors, the centres also provide:

• market assistance, including market research and advice on strategy and product positioning
• business development support, which may include identification and introduction of potential partners, investors or industry leaders

Who is eligible?

The service is open to Invest NI clients that have taken our free-of-charge Business Health Check. Eligible businesses are likely to have:

• experience of doing business in overseas markets
• a known market opportunity, and ideally an existing volume of sales in the market
• the managerial experience and sophistication required to be successful in the market
• entrepreneurial leadership and commitment
