Meet the buyer events

The Invest NI Food Division are offering NI food and drink companies a rolling programme of up to 25 Meet the Buyer events in 2008. Featuring buyer engagement opportunities from key markets such as Great Britain (GB) and the Republic of Ireland and covering both the retail and food service sectors.

The programme is characterised by late confirmation and variable availability of buyers within the industry. Therefore many events can only be confirmed a few weeks before the delivery date. Invest NI will continuously update the opportunities throughout the year for all NI food and drink companies for buyer selection, however, ultimately it is the buyers who will decide which companies they will meet. Many buyers usually visit Northern Ireland for a single day and the number of meetings is usually limited to around 15.

Despite these minor drawbacks this ‘meet the buyer’ programme offers unparalleled access to some of the most potentially lucrative selling opportunities in the sector in last 12 months this included Sodexho, Pallas, Brakes, 3663 and many of the key retailers in GB and Republic of Ireland.
