West Belfast’s own Brian Kennedy will be in town on 22 April to open the Start a Business Show being held in Andersonstown Leisure Centre.

Brian will be urging local people to come along and find out how to start a business and about the help they can get from the local enterprise agencies and Invest NI.

Bill Montgomery of Invest NI says: “There’s a lot of talent in west Belfast and lots of good ideas, and we can help turn those ideas into businesses. This Start a Business Show in the heart of West Belfast is a direct result of the work of the communities represented on the West Belfast Task Force. They recognised the importance of enterprise and called for action to increase and improve business and employment opportunities for local people.”

This Start a Business Show is a great chance for people to get information and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. They can find out everything they need to know about starting a business by visiting the show.

“The message of Brian’s latest album Get on with your short life is a lot like our message of Go For It. We’re really asking people to take the chance to do something positive for themselves and the community and assuring them that we’ll do everything we can to help them,” adds Bill Montgomery.

The Start a Business Show is organised by Invest Northern Ireland and its various enterprise partners including Work West, Ortus and Glenwood Enterprises. The show runs from 5pm to 9pm on 22 April, and from 10am to 5pm on 23 April.
