Leading edge technology from EG Information Consulting in Belfast is being used in Colorado to help ensure the success of the forthcoming Sustainable Opportunities Summit in Denver.
EG Information Consulting’s (EG) ENGAGE Online Business Network software, is already being used by CORE in its preparations for the influential summit on environmental and social challenges next March. EG used Invest NI trade missions and support from the Northern Ireland Technology and Development Centre in Denver to identify and develop contact with CORE and other organisations in Colorado.
CORE is a membership-based, non-profit organisation driving business development in Colorado through initiatives such as the Sustainable Opportunities Summit.
EG’s success in Colorado was announced today by Peter Shields, the company’s Managing Director, and welcomed by Alan Hingston, Invest NI’s Trade Director.
Mr Shields said: “Our technology has enabled CORE to create an online platform to communicate with its members and delegates, to enable them to network with each other, to register for events more easily, and to download presentations and other data much faster than has previously been the case.
“CORE provides membership services to over 200 companies and individuals throughout the state, it also runs leading edge events each month promoting sustainable practices, business change and gives vital information on new projects and initiatives that help benefit local businesses.
“Through excellent support from Invest NI locally and on the ground in Denver, we have been able to trial our ENGAGE platform with CORE and talk to several other potential clients in Colorado,” he added.
ENGAGE is a networking platform that now includes over 400 Colorado businesses, including 689 professionals from a wide range of related businesses.
Mr Hingston said: “The developing relationship between EG and CORE is an excellent example of the expert and very practical support available to Northern Ireland companies, both large and small, through our in-market support service. The team in Denver helped the company to make initial contact with CORE and advised on business procedures and requirements in Colorado.
“EG’s success also demonstrates that Northern Ireland companies possess innovative technology for success in even the most competitive global markets such as the US.
“As well as in the US, our in market support is available for Northern Ireland companies in many parts of the world. This offers companies access to experienced business people who have vast knowledge of their markets and a network of contacts. They help companies to pinpoint opportunities for business and arrange meetings with key contacts,” he added.
EG is an IT consultancy delivering consultancy, web development and custom software development for clients in Ireland, the UK and the USA. The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner working in the public, services and financial sectors.
EG has developed ENGAGE as a global business networking tool for members of professional bodies. It provides online networking opportunities for members and structured member, event and content management for the professional body. ENGAGE can also provide collaborative networking facilities for like-minded professionals and bodies to communicate globally. The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner working in the public and financial sectors.
