Core Systems Invests in Jobs and Research to Secure Export Business

Belfast-based custodial management IT company Core Systems NI Ltd is investing £700,000 in an expansion and R&D project, with support from Invest Northern Ireland which will help to secure new opportunities in the US market.
Invest NI has offered over £167,000 of support to Core Systems NI Ltd towards an R&D project and the creation of eight high quality software development jobs which will enable the company to access new opportunities within the US marketplace. Invest NI’s R&D support is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Jeremy Fitch, Executive Director of Business and Sector Development, Invest NI said: “Core Systems has a reputation for innovative, original products that deliver beyond client expectations. Its success in the highly competitive US market is testament to this small company’s continued investment in R&D and in its people. The new jobs will generate over £240,000 annually in salaries, a welcome boost to the economy and a significant expansion for one of our most established local IT companies.”
The company’s commitment to R&D has already resulted in a strong export performance, particularly in the US. It has recently established a business relationship with a leading provider of inmate services to correctional facilities in the US giving the company a direct route to over 50 per cent of the US Corrections market.
