Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has met with the senior management team of Liberty Mutual Direct Insurance Company Limited at the company’s Enniskillen office.

Liberty Mutual Insurance successfully completed the planned acquisition of Quinn Insurance Limited’s (QIL) business in the Republic of Ireland in November 2011 and all existing QIL employees transferred to Liberty Mutual Insurance’s new Irish company, which now operates under the name of Liberty Insurance. The company continues to trade from existing offices in Enniskillen, Cavan, Dublin, with Cavan as the headquarters. The company’s Enniskillen office employs 447 staff, across a range of customer services roles that cover personal lines, claims, customer care, marketing, telesales, and finance for the UK and RoI markets.

Arlene Foster said: “I welcome Liberty Mutual’s continued commitment to doing business in Northern Ireland. The company’s importance as an employer in Enniskillen and the surrounding area cannot be understated.

“My Department and Invest NI will continue to work with Liberty Mutual, both at local and at headquarters level, to help develop the company’s Northern Ireland operations, whilst continuing efforts to position the Enniskillen site for potential future growth.”
