From Strength to Strength - Fleming Agri-Products Ltd Gains New Ground

FlemingAgri-Products Ltd, based in New Buildings, Londonderry has announced a new £1 million expansion project that is set to create 20 new jobs and will significantly enhance thecompany’s current capability within its own business sector.

Aleading manufacturer of machinery for the farming industry Fleming Agri-Products Ltd has recently diversified into the ‘countryside care’ market and nowproduces a broad spectrum of high quality products including grass cutting,land management and bale handling equipment.

The new project involves a 15,000 sq ft planned extension to the company’s factoryfacility, doubling the size of its existing site. This will allow the family owned firm to improve its current production facilities, enhance its exporting capabilities and provide more efficient workflows throughout all aspects of the business.

George Fleming, Managing Director of Fleming Agri-Products Ltd commented:

“This project has strong strategic value for the company as a whole, by diversifying into new product lines we are laying the foundations for future business growth and continued stability. The expansion will allow us to significantly increase our current workforce from 48 to 68, help us to develop our existing customer base and expand exports to new markets in Europe and further afield.”

Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company selective financial assistance of £180,000, co-funded by the EU Building Sustainable Prosperity fund, towards the total project costs of almost £1 million which will create jobs in an area ofnew targeted social need (NTSN).
