Fuel Installation Firm Pumps £1million Into New West Belfast Location

Sep 07, 2006

West-Belfast based Pumps and Fuel Installations Ltd has relocated in a £1.1m investment supported by Invest Northern Ireland.

The firm is involved in the supply, installation and maintenance of fuel handling equipment, from bulk storage facilities through to retail petrol forecourts. This major investment will enable the firm to increase its capability and take advantage of growing export market opportunities by relocating to a purpose built factory at Invest NI’s Whiterock Business Park.

“The RoI fuel pump market is particularly buoyant and this investment will help us consolidate our position by securing further business in existing and new export markets, says Kevin Wright, Joint Managing Director, Pumps and Fuel Installations. “This move to Invest NI’s Whiterock Business Park also reaffirms our commitment to the West Belfast area which will benefit from the increased levels of employment as we progress our expansion plans.”

Pumps and Fuel Installations has benefited from a range of Invest NI support and services, including property advice and assistance.

Commenting on the investment, Colin Lewis, Managing Director of Corporate Services, Invest Northern Ireland adds: “The site at Whiterock will meet the needs of this dynamic firm and streamline its operations, positioning Pumps and Fuel Installations for faster export driven growth.

“I am pleased to add that the company is also the first permanent tenant in Whiterock Business Park and Invest NI is actively working to build on this success and attract further investment to the area.”
