Four local aerospace companies will fly to Hamburg next week to participate in what is Europe’s largest aircraft interiors trade show, with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

The Aircraft Interiors Expo will be held in Hamburg, Germany on 1-3 April and will include over 500 exhibitors from 75 countries.

Invest NI is assisting the companies with exhibition space on a group stand, and will also host a reception which will be attended by key industry buyers and influencers, enabling the companies to establish potentially lucrative relationships and market contacts.

Alan Hingston, Invest NI’s Director of Trade, said: “The aviation industry is currently experiencing significant global growth, with passenger numbers steadily rising. More and more new aircraft are being manufactured, and existing aircraft continually updated, in order to enhance the modern air travel experience.

“This growth presents significant export opportunities for local aerospace supply firms. Their strong international reputation for high quality and innovative products will help them to capitalise on this increased global demand.”

Mr Hingston added: “All aspects of aircraft interiors, from seating and flooring through to communications and cabin systems technologies, are showcased at the event in Hamburg. Northern Ireland aerospace companies are at the forefront of these fields and will have the opportunity to exhibit their products to buyers from over 100 airlines from across the globe.”
