Belfast based A&K Landscape Retail Ltd are set to become a blooming success with the help of Invest Northern Ireland.
The company, run by husband and wife team Ally and Kyle Gallagher, provides a popular landscape design service but has recently diversified into the production of a new 'luxury planter' product range under the brand name “LANDSCAPE-stuff for the garden”, as part of an investment of £164,000 to develop the business.
As part of their on-going marketing strategy Ally and Kyle took part in the Urban Gardens Show, with support from Invest NI, which helped them to secure a number of lucrative new contracts and brought them to the attention of the BBC who have used their planters in a backdrop at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Invest NI recently gave the A&K Landscape Retail Ltd marketing support and assistance as part of the company’s investment programme, which has necessitated that Ally and Kyle move to larger premises in the Gasworks, Belfast.
Commenting on their recent success Maurice Patterson, manager of Invest NI’s eastern local office said:
“A&K Landscape Retail Ltd is an example of a budding local company who by cleverly diversifying their product range and seizing all marketing opportunities open to them have been able to secure some high profile clients.
“Already they have built a good reputation in what is a competitive industry and are seeing their business begin to blossom,” he continued.
Speaking on the recent growth of his company Kyle Gallagher said:
“The Urban Gardens Show gave us the exposure we needed to build up a client base outside of Northern Ireland. I firmly believe that big exhibitions like these are vitally important to help small businesses like ours grow and develop.”
“The advice and support we have received from Invest NI has also helped us immeasurably, they have given us the confidence to move forward and start exporting our products across the UK,” he continued.
