Powershield, based in Lisburn has embarked upon a significant re-investment programme with the help of Invest Northern Ireland. The investment project includes the extension of the company’s existing site to allow for increased production capacity, the purchase of new automated equipment, an updated IT system, the recruitment of specialist staff over a three year period and an increased emphasis on marketing.
It is anticipated that these business improvements will lead to a 76% growth in sales by March 2007. The project will also help the company expand into new and more profitable markets within GB and the Middle East.
A leading manufacturer of specialist steel doors and windows Powershield plans to focus on increased research and development to create new and innovative products for its growing client base.
Invest NI has offered the company, which recently received an award in the International Trade Section of the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise, a combination of advice, guidance and financial support towards implementation of the project.
