Invest Northern Ireland Supports the Creation of a Solid New Company

Armagh based company ADL Group has announced the creation of 20 new jobs at their recently established sister company ADL Stoneworks with assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.

ADL owner Adrian Donnelly, recognising a business opportunity for a company specialising in bespoke marble products, has just launched ADL Stoneworks Ltd.

ADL Group is one of Northern Ireland’s leading tile and marble suppliers to both the retail and contract markets and ADL Stoneworks has been established in response to customer demand for affordable high quality bespoke items.

With support from international marble suppliers and strong interest from potential UK and RoI customers Adrian Donnelly has invested over £350,000 in a state of the art 25,000 sq ft factory to set up ADL Stoneworks Ltd.

The company will manufacture a wide range of marble products such as vanity units, staircases, kitchen worktops, window sills and skirting. Distinctive mosaic tiles will also be designed and cut to order.

ADL Stoneworks has already been awarded two high profile contracts in RoI. Marshes Shopping Centre in Dundalk, a project worth €1.2 million, and Beacon Court Complex, Dundrum, which includes 150 marble vanitytops, skirtings, mosaic marble and a staircase.

“This is a new and exciting venture for us, but one that has been created following extensive research. The vast knowledge and experience we have gathered over the years in marble and natural stone products will give us a real advantage in this sector as we build up our client base and make this new company a success,” said Adrian.

ADL Stoneworks Ltd will be heavily export focused and Invest NI has provided significant marketing support to ensure that the company is able to build a strong client base outside of Northern Ireland. This will also be facilitated with the opening of a new ADL Group showroom in Dublin later this year.

Welcoming the creation of this new business venture Mark Bleakney, regional manager of Invest NI’s southern local office said:

“This new project is a testament to the entrepreneurial skills of Adrian Donnelly who through years of hard work has created an enviable reputation as an innovator and marketer of fashionable tiles and other related products.”

“I am confident that this new venture will be a great success and will create a business capable of bringing unique and innovative products to the international marketplace,” he continued.
