Belfast-based company Origin Partners is investing almost £500,000 in an initiative to boost export sales with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

Origin Partners specialises in delivering creative digital solutions and strategies for businesses. Its products and services include e-commerce strategy and implementation, website development, email campaign management, mobile content delivery and the development of software for touch-screens and digital displays.

Oonagh Hinds, Invest NI’s Eastern Regional Office Manager, said: “Origin Partners recognises that there is a considerable demand for its products and services beyond Northern Ireland and is taking proactive measures to exploit this. The entrepreneurial approach of this company can help its long term profitability and stimulate the local economy through higher external sales turnover.”

“Businesses such as Origin Partners can also strengthen the reputation of Northern Ireland as an ideal location for projects in the growing digital content sector,” added Ms Hinds.

Jerry Staple, Joint Managing Director of Origin Partners, said: “We are fully committed to increasing our activities in external markets by implementing a specifically targeted sales strategy. This is being complemented by a range of added value business activities such as the development of strategic partnerships, PR and customer relationship management to improve the retention of existing clients. We are also attending a number of trade shows and making visits to potential customers throughout Europe and the US.

“Invest NI help with this project is enabling us to expand at a faster rate and achieve greater sales levels than we could reach without its assistance.”

Mr Staple continued: “As a relatively young company, we have developed a strong base of clients quickly. Our current customers include Spirit, Ulster Weavers, Jason Shankey, Alfa Romeo, McKay Pharmacy and the Grand Opera House, and we are now keen to continue the momentum and further expand our portfolio outside Northern Ireland.

“This project involves the recruitment of four new staff members to help us develop our business and achieve commercial objectives.”
