Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Jonathan Bell, has congratulated the Oil Market Journal on winning new contracts to provide its Wallboard to customers in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

The Enniskillen based Oil Market Journal publishes a range of daily, weekly and monthly online reports. Content is provided live during the trading day and is delivered via a range of innovative delivery systems.

Congratulating the company on the new deal, which is estimated to be worth up to £30,000 in the first year, Jonathan Bell said: “The Oil Market Journal was founded with the aim of providing large volume oil buyers, especially oil distributors with reliable intraday price assessments on Rotterdam Spot Market trading in products such as heating oil, diesel and petrol.

“Over the years, Northern Ireland companies have enjoyed considerable success in both Sweden and Denmark. Seeing an opportunity this company has had the foresight to avail of the support from Invest Northern Ireland participating in four trade missions to the Nordics and working with Invest Northern Ireland Trade Advisory Support. Building relationships with export markets is vital. Participating in trade missions demonstrates a firm’s commitment to its business partners overseas and sets it apart from those who do not take the opportunity to meet with potential global partners.

“Securing these contracts is an encouraging breakthrough for this committed company helping it to continue its growth strategy as they actively seek further export opportunities in this important market. I look forward to following Oil Market Journal’s future successes.”

Sam Galloway, European Sales Manager at The Oil Market Journal said: “The range of support we received from Invest Northern Ireland has really helped us to move our business forward. Participating on trade missions to the Nordics gave us the opportunity to meet the challenges of exporting head on and scope out the Nordics market.

“We did a lot of initial market research and the valuable business development advice we received from Invest Northern Ireland has played a key part in helping us to win these contracts.

“We look forward to building on our achievements this year and on our relationship with Invest NI, as we work to drive success and ensure the future growth of our business.”
