Local radio star Stephen Nolan will be at the Spectrum Centre on the Shankill Road on 27 April to open the Shankill Start a Business Show.

Stephen, famous for his straightforward and no nonsense style, will be asking local people to come along and find out how to start up a business and what help they can get from the local enterprise agencies and Invest NI.

Bill Montgomery of Invest NI says: “People in this area have a lot to offer. They have skills and ideas and we can help to turn their ideas into a business. This Start a Business Show in the heart of the Greater Shankill area is a direct result of the work of the communities represented on the West Belfast Task Force. They recognised the importance of enterprise and called for action to increase and improve business and employment opportunities for local people.”

The Start a Business Show is a great chance for people to get information and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. They can find out everything they need to know about starting a business by visiting the show.

The Start a Business Show is organised by Invest Northern Ireland and its various enterprise partners including Work West, Ortus and Glenwood Enterprises. The show runs from 5pm to 9pm on 27 April, and from 10am to 5pm on 28 April.
