K-Point Internet Solutions Limited is making significant strides in the Great Britain market following a £90,000 investment supported by Invest Northern Ireland.

The Warrenpoint firm, established in 1999, specialises in developing bespoke software for online applications. Directors Brian Murphy and Diarmid Sloan, have significant experience working with major software houses and recognised the opportunity to provide specialist software solutions for small businesses.

Invest NI offered over £40,000 part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), towards the development and commercialisation of K-Point’s innovative web based property management software product, RentPro. The product is targeted at the Great Britain and Republic of Ireland market.

RentPro software enables letting agents and individuals with rental property to manage all aspects of letting, such as outstanding rent payments, landlord balances, forthcoming tenancy expiry and required maintenance. RentPro is already used by letting agencies in all corners of the British Isles to manage over 15,000 properties. Recently the firm secured a contract with a large multi-branch UK based letting agency which has incorporated K-Point’s RentPro software system into its service offering.

Invest NI assistance helped K-Point to build its management and marketing expertise by creating a new position in the company for an Account Manager and Online Marketing Specialist. In addition, K-Point has undertaken market research visits, advertising, website development and exhibited at trade shows, to enhance visibility of the company outside Northern Ireland.

Mark Bleakney, Manager of Invest NI’s Southern Regional Office, commented: “K-Point’s investment is an important stage in the company’s development. Brian and Diarmid are highly committed to building a strong position in GB and RoI as providers of innovative bespoke software applications. With encouraging results achieved to date, K-Point’s investment is paying dividends and will help support future sales in these target markets.”

Brian Murphy, Director of K-Point Internet Solutions, commented: “Invest NI’s assistance has been instrumental in getting the RentPro product to market and in supporting our plans to improve the company’s marketing and management capabilities. I am delighted with the success of our R&D activity and we will continue to build on new business opportunities outside Northern Ireland.”
