About the trade mission

Invest Northern Ireland is proposing to take a delegation of companies to visit Medica in November 2024.

Ranking third internationally, Germany is Europe’s largest medical technology market with Medica being the largest event for healthcare and life products in Europe. The country is the largest market for medical devices, and Europe’s leading healthcare market in terms of market volume, patient numbers, medical technology manufacturers, and healthcare providers.  

In 2023 Medica had over 5,300 exhibitors from almost 70 countries and 83,000 visitors, with 75% of them coming from outside Germany (inc. North America and Latin America) placing Medica Düsseldorf as one of the largest medical B2B trade fairs in the world. 

Who should consider participating in the trade mission?

The trade mission is suitable for: 

  • Businesses within the MedTech industry 
  • Businesses specialising in diagnostics 
  • Businesses already exporting and businesses with a new ready to go product or services wishing to raise awareness
