Enterprise Trade and Investment Minister, Arlene Foster has welcomed a new series of orders for Bombardier Aerospace.
Following a series of announcements at Farnborough Airshow, Bombardier's CSeries order book has grown to 495, including firm orders for 203 CSeries airliners.
Bombardier in Belfast is responsible for the complete centre fuselage, engine nacelles and flight components for the CRJ900 It also designs and produces the advanced composite wings for the CSeries aircraft.
Arlene Foster said: “Bombardier is one of Northern Ireland’s major employers and this announcement is a significant boost to the local economy.
“These orders are a tremendous endorsement of the technological expertise and capability available here and signal the continued success of this multinational corporation.
“Invest NI continues to work closely with Bombardier and other aerospace companies to help them grow and develop and ensure that the sector remains internationally competitive. Bombardier’s success has a positive knock-on effect for other locally based firms, who are benefiting from the associated supply chain opportunities.
"This is good news for the Northern Ireland economy as a whole and I am confident that this trend will continue in the weeks and months ahead."
