Foster welcomes appointment of new Chief Executive at Invest NI

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster, today congratulated Alastair Hamilton on his appointment as the next Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland. The appointment will take effect from 1 April 2009.

Welcoming the appointment the Minister said: “Alastair Hamilton will be taking up his new post at a time of major challenges but he will be looking beyond the current economic difficulties to the opportunities that will be presented by the upturn that we believe will follow.

“I wish him every success as Chief Executive, and look forward to working closely with him. He brings a wealth of experience to the job to meet the challenges before him.

“I would also like to offer my best wishes again to Leslie Morrison, the outgoing Chief Executive, for his dedicated work, professionalism and leadership over the last seven years.”
