Invest NI 2012/13 Support to Deliver Over 700 New Jobs across Craigavon and Armagh

Invest Northern Ireland 2012/13 performance results for the Craigavon and Armagh District Council areas show that over 700 new jobs were promoted as a result of its support.

Mark Bleakney, Invest NI’s Southern Regional Manager, said: “This is an encouraging performance by Invest NI. Last year we made offers to businesses in the Craigavon and Armagh District Council areas totalling over £13million which contributed towards commitments of almost £64million from businesses including JW Kane Precision Engineering and Moy Park.

“These jobs include 51 new jobs through business start support.

“Against a backdrop of continued challenges placed on the businesses as a result of the ongoing economic downturn, these results have demonstrated a strong performance with tangible benefits for businesses and the economy. I hope these figures will be received with the positive response they deserve.”
