Lisburn Based Precious Packaging Bags Export Business

A Lisburn based business Precious Packaging is now exporting its packaging products to 17 different countries worldwide following Jobs Fund and marketing assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.

Entrepreneurs Matthew Nelson and George Sleator have developed their business to become one of the leading online websites supplying a wide range of printed paper, plastic and eco friendly carrier bags.

The company has expanded its workforce recently, recruiting five new marketing staff to help increase sales. Turnover has already increased significantly as a result.

Precious Packaging’s eco-friendly packaging is sold in international stores and used in Trade Shows as promotional aids, throughout Europe. The company has also created special packaging accessories to add to its growing portfolio, such as Limited Edition printed tissue paper for Puma.

Andrew Harper, Customer Account Manager at Precious Packaging, says: “The industry is so vast, there are so many products and accessory ranges to expand into and we will endeavor to constantly develop and create innovative packaging.

“Each new product increases our global customer demographic across all business sectors such as fashion, catering, promotional and ecommerce. We are aiming to achieve a £3 million turnover over the next 3-5 years and plan to achieve this by build on our reputation within the UK & Europe to secure new business in North America.”

Mark Bleakney, Invest NI’s Southern Regional Manager, said: “Precious Packaging’s success has been built on customer service, a dynamic export strategy and cutting edge design knowledge that will continue to aid the company’s further growth and success. Our assistance is helping this ambitious company as it seeks to exploit new business opportunities in international markets.”

Invest NI has offered Precious Packaging £47,810. Its client base includes many recognisable names such as Unilever, Adobe, Land Rover Jaguar and Next PLC.
