Reed Managed Services has announced that it is investing almost £10 million to expand its Northern Ireland presence, creating 220 new jobs. The investment is being supported by Invest Northern Ireland which has offered assistance in employment and training support amounting to £1.925 million in total.

Reed Managed Services which encompasses Reed Consulting, the HR Consultancy & Recruitment Process Outsourcing division is part of the Reed family of companies, a leading UK HR Services Group. They currently employ 62 people in Belfast.

Welcoming the announcement Invest NI’s Chief Executive, Leslie Morrison, said: “This was a mobile investment which could have gone to the Republic of Ireland. They chose to expand their Belfast operation because of the strength of the labour market here, the availability of relevant skills and the support being offered by INI.”

“The project will contribute £5 million in salaries to the economy and will further strengthen Northern Ireland’s network services sector.”

The expanded Belfast facility will provide human resources shared services and technical support, and will serve the UK and Ireland. A comprehensive training programme supported by Invest NI will give employees the opportunity to acquire professional human resources qualifications.

Reed Group Finance Director, Derek Beal says: “Reed Managed Services which encompasses Reed Consulting, our HR Consultancy & Recruitment Process Outsourcing division already supports several major UK companies. Our focus on excellent customer care and our ability to generate innovative solutions to meet our customers’ requirements has resulted in significant growth in recent years.
