Minister Foster meets with Indonesian Ministry of Defence

Arlene Foster's meeting with the Minister follows last month's announcement that Thales, based in Belfast and Crossgar, has won an export contract worth over £100m with the Indonesian Ministry of Defence.

The Northern Ireland operation is a Centre of Excellence for missile design and manufacture within the Thales Group. The new export order for ForceSHIELD, Thales’ integrated Advanced Air Defence system, included STARStreak short range air defence missiles and RAPIDRanger vehicle based launcher systems which are designed, developed and manufactured in Northern Ireland.
