Northern Ireland secures second series of Game of Thrones

Tourism Minister, Arlene Foster said that Northern Ireland’s creative industries had scored another coup by securing the filming of the second series of Game of Thrones.

Funding for the second series will again be provided by Northern Ireland Screen supported by Invest NI and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said: "Securing the filming of the second series of this extremely popular television series is yet another coup for our local creative industry and will deliver major economic benefits.

"As well as ensuring Northern Ireland’s becomes world-renowned for its film and television expertise, it will also showcase our unique and stunning landscape to potential visitors around the world.”
