As a land-locked country with relatively few natural resources, Switzerland is heavily reliant on imports and is one of the UK’s top trading partners.
It is a mature and demanding market with a high level of R&D activity and in 2016 was ranked the “Most innovative country” for the sixth time in a row. Reliability, quality and value for money are the key values expected by buyers.
Although there are four main languages, English is widely spoken. The main business cities are Geneva, Zurich, Basel and Berne.
We are working with the Department for International Trade (DIT) team in Switzerland to identify relevant contacts and provide participants with planned meetings to introduce their products and services to key players in the markets.
While the 4 day mission will be based in Geneva and Zurich, travel to other parts of the region may be necessary for meetings, the Department for International Trade (DIT) Switzerland will advise on this subject and opportunities for NI companies in the market.
The cost of this service is heavily subsidised and would be £825 +VAT.
* Contribution towards airfares and accommodation is for one participant per company only
Companies who have exceeded their De Minimis aid limit will be unable to claim assistance towards travel, accommodation and in-market support for this mission. The maximum De Minimis aid any single recipient can receive is €200,000 (cash grant equivalent) over a 3 year fiscal period.
