What is our Diversity & Inclusion aim?
Our aim is for all our people to understand, value and show Diversity and Inclusion in how they work with each other and clients. We want to attract people who want to feel engaged and inspired.
We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where team members are valued and respected for who they are and where they feel safe in bringing their whole selves to work.
Our Diversity & Inclusion Stronger Together Committee links our people to our Leadership team and our Board, ensuring that ideas and initiatives can be created and supported from the top.
Invest NI holds Diversity Mark accreditation and has signed Diversity Mark NI’s Charter.

Building a valued workforce at Invest NI
We recognise the benefits a diverse and inclusive culture brings to Invest NI, our aim is to make all employees feel valued, engaged, confident and motivated to reach their full potential.
Employee Connection Groups
Our inclusive culture is supported by our Employee Connection Groups, they connect our people to share experiences, to raise awareness of specific diversity topics and contribute ideas to help shape our future Diversity & Inclusion agenda.
We currently have six active Employee Connection Groups:
- The Professional Women’s Network
- LGBTQ+
- Young Persons Network
- Men’s Health and Wellbeing Group
- STEM Network
- The Green Scene
The Employee Connection Groups have achieved great things in recent years:
- Marching in PRIDE for the first time in 2024, and again in 2025
- Corporate membership of Women in Business with 12 of our women benefiting from the mentoring programme
- The recent introduction of our 2 newest groups, The Young Person’s Network and the Men’s Health and Wellbeing group
The Employee Connection Groups work closely with the Sports and Social Committee to ensure there are events appealing to as many people as possible throughout the year.
