Breakfast seminars shed light on Horizon 2020 funding opportunities

At a series of breakfast workshops in Armagh, Derry~Londonderry and Belfast, over 140 businesses heard what the EU Horizon 2020 fund can offer to ambitious companies looking to deliver world class products or services.

Grant rates of up to 100% make the program attractive to businesses. The applications process is competitive but we can support you take on the challenge. You can find out more at Northern Ireland Horizon 2020

The audience heard about the SME instrument and the new 'Fast Track to Innovation' programme which has been designed to speed up the time from idea to market and to increase the participation of industry, SMEs and first time applicants.

At the events we delivered a series of presentations on how to access the funds and also what the Enterprise Europe Network can offer local companies. There was also a case study of a local company which outlined how they benefited from their engagement with Invest NI.

At the event it was outlined how the European Commission appoints independent experts to assist with research and innovation assignments including the evaluation of proposals, monitoring of projects, and evaluation of programmes, and design of policy.
