About the Go Global programme

Our Go Global programme is for ambitious small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that want to increase their sales outside the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain.

In the first two years, the programme will focus on European markets, leveraging strong partnerships and the unique trading advantages of the Windsor Framework. After that, it will expand to the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and other high-potential markets. 

The application window for Go Global will close on Friday 4 September, 12 noon.

Cost to participate in the programme is £1,000+VAT.

How can my business benefit from the Go Global programme?

The programme will help build the confidence, capability, and strategic insight you need to succeed in international markets.

Participants in the Go Global programme can benefit from:

  • Three interactive export capability workshops in Northern Ireland
  • A customised market research report to inform your strategy
  • A structured visit to your target market with up to six pre-arranged meetings
  • One-to-one mentoring from an experienced international business expert
  • Strategic guidance on market entry and export planning
  • Feedback on pitching, marketing materials, and sales techniques
  • Ongoing progress reviews to maintain momentum
  • A robust Export Action Plan and a stronger global network

The Go Global programme helped us create a framework and understanding of the Spanish market we previously had struggled to define. The extensive market research, expert-led workshops and assistance with the market visit were a huge help for us and advanced our progress significantly. Directly because of the programme, we have agreed partnerships with two Spanish companies on technical and distributions agreements for our products. Who can apply for the Go Global programe?

The Go Global programme is only available to Invest Northern Ireland clients. Find out more about becoming an Invest Northern Ireland client.

How to apply?

The application window for Go Global is open until Friday 4 September, 12 noon. Please complete the eligibility checker to find out if you qualify to apply. 

Q1 - Is your company based in Northern Ireland?
Q2 - Are you an Invest NI client?
Q3 - How many employees (including yourself) is in your business?
Q4 - Does your business meet the annual minimum turnover for the programme?
The annual minimum turnover for Grow Beyond and Graduate to Export is £250,000. The annual minimum turnover for Go Global is £500,000 and the annual minimum turnover for International Sales Leadership Programme is £5,000,000.
Q5 - Are you currently selling outside of Northern Ireland?

Sorry, based on your answers your business does not meet the eligibility criteria for Go Global.
