Strengthen your Supply Chain with Specialist Support

Supply Chain

Since its launch in April 2021, almost 200 businesses have accessed Invest Northern Ireland’s Supply Chain Resilience and Development Solutions (SCRDS) support, with a further 50 projects in progress, delivering a total of over £8M in Gross Value Added (GVA). In addition, we have also provided financial assistance for 30 key supply chain workers.

SCRDS is designed to help businesses address supply chain challenges and develop their supply chain function to enhance value, reduce risk and improve competitiveness.

The scheme provides a blend of specialist advice and financial support to help eligible businesses implement sustainable supply chain improvements and opportunities.

A graduated framework of support, primarily specialist advice through coaching and mentoring, can help businesses:

  • Increase supply chain management awareness
  • Identify cost saving supply chain projects
  • Improve competitiveness
  • Increase free cash flow through inventory level optimisation projects
  • Provide a buffer against future financial challenges and
  • Enhance customer ~ supplier relationships

Eligible businesses may also apply for financial assistance towards salary cost of a dedicated supply chain worker.

To date, a wide range of businesses have benefitted from the SCRDS scheme, including Newtownabbey based iBrand.

We’ve been working with Invest NI as part of its Supply Chain Resilience and Development programme for over a year. The focus has been on improving our Supply Chain processes, building both resilience to the many challenges within the current global supply chain, and providing real cost saving benefits. This assistance has been instrumental in developing a more robust business model for IBrand to prepare for growth in the coming years.
