Belfast communication company secures £3 million of new business with Invest NI support
Belfast-based Barclay Communications has secured £3 million worth of new business in Scotland and England with support from Invest Northern Ireland.
Barclay Communications provides specialist telecommunication solutions and IT support services to companies across the UK.
The contract success comes as a result of a £120,000 investment by the firm to upgrade its customer relationship management system. Invest NI offered Barclay Communications over £21,000, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), towards the project.
Tracy Meharg, Invest NI’s Managing Director of Innovation and Capability Development, said: “The new management information system which Barclay Communications implemented only six months ago has had an extremely positive impact on the company’s overall performance.
“With the resulting improved capabilities and enhanced productivity, Barclay Communications has secured valuable new contracts over its competitors in Great Britain. This ambitious firm will continue to build on its sales achievements and promote its services to potential new customers in a bid to further increase its market share.”
Britt Megahey, Managing Director of Barclay Communications said: “With Invest NI’s support, we have been able to upgrade our entire customer service experience and establish a management information system that can easily accommodate our future growth aims. We are delighted with the business secured to date and believe that we can build upon this success to secure additional sales.
“The new system will help us to maintain our competitiveness and continue to provide excellent customer service. In the longer term, this system will also enable us to start a new phase of development that could help drive the business forward in the Republic of Ireland.”
