Bubble lands success in Saudi marketplace
Digital technology specialist Bubble (NI) has won its first business in Saudi Arabia from its participation in an Invest Northern Ireland trade mission to the important Gulf marketplace.
The Belfast-based company is to provide a series of Arab and English language video presentations on health and safety issues to United Arab Can Manufacturing Company (UAC) in Damman, a business producing 1.4 billion cans a year for international clients to customers throughout the Middle East.
The videos will be based on the company’s successful and highly adaptable ‘Speechbubble’ software platform.
The animated videos are being developed by Bubble and will run in a continuous loop on screens across the huge factory to highlight health and safety procedures.
Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI Trade Director, welcoming Bubble’s latest success in Gulf markets, said: “Bubble (NI) is now beginning to reap the business rewards of a determined approach to the Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia which continues to be among the most dynamic global economies.
“This is an ambitious company with innovative technology which has realised that it needs to move quickly to harness the potential of its technology and has developed a flexible, customer-focused approach. The company has also used our missions to the region to establish and maintain an extensive network of business contacts.
“Bubble is now winning business there because it offers innovative technology, expert technical support and highly responsive services. This is a company that is displaying a real determination to compete and win in the Gulf.”
Jim O’Neil, Bubble (NI) Sales Director, commenting on the latest business won by the company in the Middle East, said: “This is a very significant breakthrough for us in the biggest and wealthiest market in the Gulf region. It gives our technology an important reference site with one of the region’s biggest manufacturing operations, one with business relationships throughout the Middle East.
“Invest NI trade missions have been tremendously beneficial in helping to explore and secure business throughout the Gulf. We are very excited by the business opportunities particularly in Saudi Arabia and will be investing time and other resources to grow business there for Speechbubble, our unique technology product.
“Speechbubble enables customers to deploy easily animated presentations, in this case covering Health and Safety topics, for employees using different languages including Arabic. This includes text files, picture files, video, animation, graphics etc.
“We’ve also used the missions to set up a network of resellers in Saudi and other parts of the Gulf, which has become a very exciting marketplace for us. We’ve found huge interest in our state-of-the-art technology.
“The contacts we’ve made in the Gulf have also produced good business leads in India. A number of partnerships have also been signed in major centres in Saudi Arabia that have led to early-stage discussions with some of the biggest companies in the kingdom,” he added.
