Engineering business Camlin to create almost 300 jobs in £28m investment
Lisburn based engineering business, Camlin is creating 298 high value jobs as part of a £28 million expansion at its Lisburn headquarters.
Camlin develops and supplies innovative engineering solutions, primarily for the electricity and rail industries. Speaking at the official opening of its new state of the art factory, Invest Northern Ireland Chief Executive, Alastair Hamilton said:“Camlin is a high-tech manufacturer and this significant expansion marks an exciting chapter in the strategic growth of the business.

Camlin operates with the vision of bringing revolutionary products to life for a wide range of industries and also has interests in a number of R&D projects in a variety of scientific sectors. The Camlin operation spans over 21 countries across the globe and currently employs 251 people at its Lisburn site.

Much of Camlin’s new technology has been developed as a result of connections made with international partners through the Enterprise Europe Network.
Invest NI’s support includes £953,377 in R&D assistance, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the EU Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014–2020.
