Invest NI helps Cloud Operate Create 12 New Hi-Tech Jobs in Belfast
During a recent visit to the new premises of Cloud Operate Ltd, Alastair Hamilton, Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland, announced that the company is creating 12 new hi-tech jobs.
Cloud Operate designs innovative software solutions based around the growing cloud IT segment of the software industry. The company’s key markets are in the UK and Europe.
The IT services company has moved to expanded premises in Linenhall St, Belfast, and, with support from Invest NI, is recruiting software testers, developers, consultants and a support team to expand the Belfast team to 26 people. Four of the 12 new jobs are already in place.
Alastair Hamilton said: “I’m delighted to be announcing 12 new jobs for Cloud Operate, a young company which, with Invest NI support, has grown quickly since it was set up in 2011.
“Early last year we supported the company to create 10 jobs and previously we provided a research and development grant to help it improve its Microsoft System Centre Service Manager product.
“The company’s success has led now to this further expansion. Invest NI will continue to be a business partner for Cloud Operate as it grows and develops in the future.”
Invest NI has offered an employment grant of £96,000 to support the new jobs.
Cloud Operate specialises in cloud-based internet applications, selling its services primarily in support of its sister company Cased Dimensions Ltd in Monaghan.
Aaron McCormack, Executive Chairman of Cloud Operate, said: “We considered a few options for this investment including placing the jobs with our existing team in the Philippines. However, as a local company, we understand the great talent and technical expertise available in Northern Ireland. Invest NI’s support enabled us to create these jobs locally whist remaining cost competitive. The agency’s assistance has now helped us create over 20 new hi-tech jobs in Belfast in the last 14 months.”
