Invest NI helps Easa access new markets
Moira-based company, Easa, is investing over £267,000 to expand its team, develop new products and pursue an aggressive export marketing campaign.
The company manufactures easy access showers for the elderly and infirm markets and has recently achieved steady growth in sales in the Republic of Ireland.
Supported by Invest Northern Ireland the company is now targeting the Great Britain market and recently launched its new Evo range at the NAIDEX exhibition in Birmingham. Evo - the result of Easa taking part in Invest NI’s Design Development Programme - was awarded Product of the Year at the exhibition.
Nigel Blackburn, Easa’s Managing Director, says: “There is no reason why people with reduced mobility, who need easily accessible showers fitted in their homes, should compromise on style.
“Evo is a modern, stylish, high-performance range of products that we are confident will sell well in both our current markets and those we are targeting over the next few years. We came away from NAIDEX with around 160 enquiries including ones from Spain, Germany and the US. The Evo system along with our Essence range have combined to create a choice for the customer which was previously unavailable. It is this unique choice that has generated worldwide interest.”
Easa has also taken part in Invest NI’s Strategic Development Programme, which helps companies to draw up a robust strategic plan for growth. As a result the company identified the key actions required to differentiate it in the marketplace and ensure continued business growth. It is anticipated that the company will create seven new jobs over the next year, bringing total employment to 32.
