INVEST NI HELPS SMALL BUSINESSES SPRING INTO ACTION
Business owners from six local companies have outlined their Action Plans for the next two years at an event to mark the end of the Small Business Development Programme run by Invest Northern Ireland’s western local office.
The companies have successfully completed the six month programme which covered the keys areas of marketing, finance and human resources, and they are already putting what they have learnt into action.
Among the participants was interior designer, Myrtle Jackson, of Enniskillen company Bellevue Interiors. Her clients range from hotels and hospitality to private homes. Myrtle has developed a ‘see before do’ approach to interior and exterior home design, by using computer generated virtual reality.
Commenting on the course Myrtle said: “I thought the programme was excellent. It taught me to value my business as well as myself, and I feel I’ve grown as a result of taking part in the programme.”
David Bradshaw, manager of Invest NI’s western local office, said: “We’ve had a wide range of companies on the course from engineering companies to interior designers and feedback from all the participants has been excellent.
“The course has taken a very practical approach to helping companies grow and we’ll continue to work with them to help them implement their action plans and really reap the benefits of the programme.”
