Local firms hoping to land airport business in Germany
Supported by Invest Northern Ireland, three local firms will participate in Inter Airport Europe, a major airport equipment trade show in Munich.
CEM Systems of Belfast, FM Environmental of Newry and George McIvor of Dungannon will take part in the show. The show is being held in Munich Airport from 9-12 October and is the world’s foremost airport technology, equipment and services show, bringing together almost 600 trade exhibitors from over 30 countries.
Invest NI is providing the companies with exhibition space, assisting with their travel and accommodation costs and facilitating meetings with key potential customers and industry influencers.
Alan Hingston, Invest NI’s Director of Trade, says: “The aviation industry is currently experiencing a global upturn and airports are increasing in number and size to accommodate this. There are clear opportunities for Northern Ireland’s airport supply sector to capitalise on this and build on their already strong market positions.
“The Inter Airport Europe show is an ideal platform for these firms to highlight their latest products, make key contacts and increase their potential customer base.
“The show categorises each exhibitor into a specific sector of the airport market, helping trade visitors to seek out those stands which are of most relevance to them.
“This will help maximise visitor numbers to the companies’ stands, raising their individual profiles whilst also highlighting the Northern Ireland airport supply sector to a global audience.”
“We will also be distributing a free CD-ROM which comprises two comprehensive directories of Northern Ireland companies with expertise in supplying the aerospace and airport sectors.”
