Local software firm launches new brand to 'Etain' export success
Invest Northern Ireland Chief Executive Alastair Hamilton has unveiled a new brand image for a Belfast software company which is targeting success in the US.
Etain Software, formerly known as EG Information Consulting, provides customised software solutions to customers across a broad range of industry sectors. The new brand identity, created with design support from Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund, is part of a wider export marketing strategy which includes plans to exploit the lucrative US technology market.
Etain Software is currently celebrating over 10 years of business and last month won a landmark contract in the US with precious metals forum Denver Gold to supply highly innovative event management software.
Alastair Hamilton said: “Etain Software is a well established, locally owned company which has continued to push the boundaries of IT development. It has created innovative software and web solutions for a diverse customer base through continuous research & development, a strong customer focus and its team of highly capable software engineers.
“The new brand will assist Etain Software as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the US and build upon its recent contract success there. Global markets are still extremely competitive but firms which have continued to invest in product development, training or export marketing have broadly been able to remain the most resilient to market pressures.
“With this week’s strategic mission to the US aiming to help NI companies develop valuable trade links, Etain Software’s recent US success demonstrates that opportunities do exist in this vast market and can be secured against international competition. I have no doubt that the rebranding will be a fundamental part of strengthening Etain’s presence in target markets.”
Peter Shields, Director, Etain Software said: “We have always focused on innovation and people development and this ethos has helped us to sustain the business, particularly through the past 12-18 months, which has seen many companies struggle with difficult global market conditions.
“Invest NI has always been hugely supportive of our growth ambitions, assisting with export marketing, research and development, staff training, intellectual property advice and most recently, with the creation of our new brand image.
“Our success in winning the Denver Gold contract has given us a foothold in the lucrative US market and we are now working on potential new contracts there. Alongside this, we have focused on strengthening relationships with existing customers and further developing markets closer to home. Our strong product portfolio, highly talented people and now our new Etain Software brand will ensure we have the strongest possible presence in all markets.”
Etain Software currently employs 27 highly skilled software engineers.
