Progress Welcomed for Tyrone Furniture Manufacturer Zespoke Design
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell has welcomed the success and development of Cookstown based furniture manufacturer, Zespoke Design, following investment plans.
Zespoke Design was set up two years ago to produce eye-catching, retro-inspired furniture tailored to suit the individual demands of each customer and is achieving international success, exporting its products worldwide.
Jonathan Bell said: “Zespoke Design is an exciting business which is going from strength to strength as a result of development activities supported by Invest Northern Ireland. This latest expansion to the company’s workforce is positive news for the Tyrone area and will help drive Zespoke’s continued success across the UK and Europe.
“Five new jobs have been created at the business as part of the Zespoke’s £135,000 investment to enhance its online presence and strengthen its position in Great Britain. I am pleased Invest Northern Ireland has supported the company through the offer of £21,200 to support marketing activity and the recruitment of the new jobs.
The Minister added: “I would also like to congratulate the company on their recent success in securing an order with BBC to supply a bespoke coffee table for the popular television show, EastEnders. Winning a contract with one of Britain’s best loved television shows is a fantastic opportunity for the company to showcase its product on an international stage and I wish them well with their future endeavours.”
In April 2015 the company announced it had tripled its workforce, recruiting eight new staff. As a result of this latest expansion, the Tyrone based firm now employs 13 people in Cookstown.
Paul Elliot, Founder of Zespoke added: “We were delighted to secure the BBC contract and to find out our product would be used on such a high profile programme like EastEnders. Invest NI’s continued support is enabling us to focus on measures to drive traffic to our e-commerce website and put the resources in place to support our growing order book.”
