Co. Antrim based Drumack Coachworks has secured its first business in Europe worth over £70,000, with support from Invest Northern Ireland.
The coach building company, based in Rasharkin, has already begun exporting orders to the franchisees of international automotive company, Autosmart in France, Germany and Holland.
Established in 1984 by owner Cyril Reid, Drumack Coachworks specialises in vehicle body building, tail lift installation, maintenance and repair for the commercial vehicle market.
Invest NI offered £5,000 to Drumack Coachworks as part of a £19,750 investment to help support the company’s export marketing activities. These included the design of the company’s website and promotional material, attendance at trade shows and exhibitions outside NI, and market research to identify niche product areas that could provide export opportunities.
Gren Armstrong, Manager of Invest NI’s North Eastern Regional Office, commented: “Drumack Coachworks is an established local business which has built up a good reputation in the industry. It is clear from the recent business secured in Europe that the company’s drive and commitment to enhance their competitiveness has proven to be a valuable investment.”
Cyril Reid, owner of Drumack Coachworks, commented; “Invest NI’s support and advice has helped us to secure our first business in Europe. I am confident that our investment to increase visibility and market position, along with our current Autosmart orders will help to yield further growth and business opportunities in this marketplace.”
